Corporate Intranet Development

📌 Objective: Design and implement an end-to-end intranet to optimize workplace communication and efficiency.

📌 Achievements: Led the project from research to implementation, ensuring a clear information architecture and an intuitive user experience. Validated through usability testing and closely collaborated with the development team and key stakeholders to ensure successful execution.

📌 Skills: UX Research, Information Architecture, Prototyping, Usability Testing, Cross-functional Collaboration with Development Teams and Stakeholders.

Context

The existing intranet functioned mainly as a directory of links, limiting employee interaction and sense of belonging.

To enhance workplace communication and efficiency, I led an end-to-end project that included UX research, information architecture design, prototyping, and close collaboration with the development team for a successful implementation.

The Challenge

  • The intranet did not facilitate internal communication or team collaboration.

  • Information fragmentation made it difficult to access relevant and up-to-date content.

  • A user-friendly solution was needed to optimize navigation and encourage employee engagement.

  • Many links were outdated or had been replaced by other portals.

Design & Prototyping

To understand user needs and define an effective solution, we conducted:

  • Desk research to analyze trends and existing solutions.

  • Benchmarking of successful intranets.

  • Collaborative workshops with stakeholders to identify specific needs.

Based on research insights, we designed a solution focused on:

  • Intuitive navigation and optimized information architecture.

  • Quick access to relevant content.

  • Centralized communication tools.

The design process included:

  • Wireframe creation and interactive prototypes.

  • Iterations based on user and stakeholder feedback.

  • Card sorting to validate information structure.

Development & Implementation

I worked closely with the development team to:

  • Refine user stories.

  • Adjust and enhance the design based on testing and feedback.

  • Ensure implementation aligned with business objectives and user experience goals.
